If you are in an unhappy relationship, don’t despair. There are many couples who are in the same boat as you. There are lots of different reasons why a relationship may turn sour and you may not know what to do about it. Many people decide to stay in the relationship even though they are not happy. This may be because they feel they made a commitment to the other person or need to support them either financially or emotionally.

If you are in an unhappy relationship there are 3 possible solutions you can use. The first is to stay in the relationship the way it is and do absolutely nothing. The problem with doing this is that you will eventually make yourself and your partner miserable and the situation can get much worse. People decide to stay because they feel it is the easiest solution. To work at the relationship and try to make it better seems like a chore they would rather not deal with. This is not the best solution.
The second option would be to try and fix what is wrong. This will require a commitment from both of you. If it is one sided it will never work and the relationship will fail. It also requires lots of dedication to get things right and will be hard work, but the end result can be quite satisfactory and will change your relationship for the long term.
The third possibility would be to leave the relationship all together. This can be a very difficult but neccessary decision if things have gotten so bad that you feel there is nothing else you can do. To stay in an unhappy relationship can do damage to those around you and to those in the relationship. Any family you have can be effected so base this decision on careful thought. You do not want things to get so out of hand that you and your partner are fighting all the time and you have gotten to the point that you are depressed, angry and suffering needlessly.
If you feel that you cannot solve your problems on your own, seek out the help of an experienced coach or therapist who can help you deal with your relationship. A coach can help you with the steps you need to take to try and repair your situation. A therapist can deal with the emotional side of an unhappy relationship.
Si in conclusuon there are three things you can do. You can either choose to stay, do nothing and continue being miserable, try and repair the relationship, but only if both are willing to do so or you can choose to end the relationship and move on. Regardless of the decision you make, remember, it effects all involved and you need to do what is right for them as well as yourself.
